“…Sweet Auburn! send the spirit of thy shades
To light my song when memory's radiance fades.”

-From Sweet Auburn by Caroline F. Orne

Join docent Rosemarie Smurzynski for a poetry tour of the Cemetery visiting the graves of Mount Auburn’s best-known observational poets Caroline Frances Orne, Robert Creeley, and Amy Lowell. Hear some of their poems read aloud and be inspired to write your own! Throughout the tour, attendees will be encouraged to notice and experience the landscape around them and note their sensory observations. Attendees will be allotted time at the end of the tour to compose their own poems with an invitation to share with the group. No previous writing experience is required.

Check-in will be outside Story Chapel.
